Technology
At Kellyville Public School, technology plays an important role in creating engaging and meaningful learning experiences. Students use digital tools such as Google Classroom, PowerPoint, Canva, Word, Excel, and iPad apps including Reading Eggs and Mathseeds to explore ideas, solve problems, and express their creativity across all areas of the curriculum.
From coding and robotics to research, multimedia projects, and video presentations, technology brings learning to life in authentic and exciting ways. Teachers use interactive platforms to support collaboration, provide feedback, and personalise learning to meet individual student needs.
Students are guided to be Safe, Respectful, and Responsible learners when using technology, developing positive digital citizenship skills and online safety awareness. Through the support of our P&C and school funding, we are working towards achieving a 1:1 device ratio in Stage 3, ensuring all students have equitable access to the tools they need to thrive in an ever-changing, digital world.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Learning
Kellyville Public School is embracing Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a powerful tool to enhance teaching and learning. Students in Stage 3 will have the opportunity throughout the year to use age-appropriate AI tools such as EduChat to explore ideas, practise problem-solving, and extend their understanding in new and exciting ways.
How We Use AI with Our Learning Dispositions
At Kellyville Public School, we use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to help us learn, create, and explore in new ways. AI supports our learning dispositions and helps us grow as learners:
- Be Brave – We try new AI tools, take risks, and aren’t afraid to make mistakes as we learn new things.
- Be Collaborative – We use AI to share ideas, work together on projects, and learn from each other.
- Be Gritty – When something is tricky, we use AI to find new ways to solve problems and keep going until we succeed.
- Be Curious – We ask questions, explore different possibilities, and use AI to discover exciting new information.
- Be Reflective – We use AI to check our work, get feedback, and think about how we can improve next time.
- Be Kind – We use AI responsibly and respectfully, making sure we use technology in ways that are fair and kind to others
