On Friday, 27th May, the Year 6 Custodians passed on their knowledge to the new Year 3 Custodians. It was a wonderful day, led by Mrs Khattab, Mrs Heffernan, Miss Norton and Mrs Browning. We had special visitors on the day, including Ms Wilcher (The Ponds Director of Education) and two visitors from Epping North Public School.
The Year 6 Custodians have become experts in particular Aboriginal histories and cultures. They shared their knowledge with the Year 3 students who chose to become experts in a particular area. This allowed the Year 3 students to gain a deeper understanding in their area of choice.
Students from different classes shared their Acknowledgement of Country statements with the different visitors.
